Dalton B. Floyd, Jr. is an attorney practicing in the State of South Carolina. His law practice, established in 1973 is a complete source for almost all types of legal work. Dalton has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and a Juris Doctor and L.L.B., cum laude, from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1963-1966 and was certified as Trial and Defense Counsel of the Judge Advocate General Corp for the United States Air Force.
Dalton's legal experience is vast and includes time as the Assistant Solicitor for Florence County and the attorney for the Carolinas Section of the PGA of America. He has organized and served as general counsel of three financial institutions: Waccamaw State Bank, Patriot Federal Savings and Loan and SunBank. Dalton previously served as Chairman of the General Practice Section and the Economic and Law Office Management Committee of the South Carolina Bar.
Most recently, he was awarded the "Order of the Palmetto," the state's highest civilian award for service to his state as the Chairman of the South Carolina Higher Education Commission. He also serves on the Board of Trustees at Coastal Carolina University and is a member of Brookgreen Gardens' Board of Trustees and The South Carolina Higher Education Foundation. Dalton is dedicated to serving our youth and plays an active role at Coastal Carolina University serving as Vice Chairman of the Coastal Educational Foundation Investment Committee and Chairman of the Legacy Advisory Council
Jonathan Blake Floyd, born on February 4, 1977, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He graduated from Waccamaw High School, received his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (Business Communications) through Coastal Carolina University, received a Master's of Science in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University and an executive leadership certificate from Cornell University. He was inducted to Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society for academic excellence in Business Administration programs. Blake has worked in education for Coastal Carolina University for 7 years in the School of Business, College of Science, and the Athletics Dept., while playing an integral role in the Dalton and Linda Floyd Family Mentoring Program.
Blake is responsible for bringing new businesses in, renewing business/leases and managing the properties. He has currently been at Twin Oaks Enterprises, Inc. 13 years. Blake also has experience in the banking and real estate industry working in the past for Dunes Properties of Charleston and National Bank of South Carolina. He is currently licensed as a Broker In charge with his own Real Estate business, having extensive knowledge of the community, being a resident of the area for over 37 years.
Blake just received Homesnap's 2022 Top and fastest growing agent award among 2 million agents nationwide. He has been involved with area Rotary Clubs and philanthropic development programs of Coastal Carolina University. He brings a wealth of knowledge in several areas that are vital to the success of the business and the community. Blake's outside interests include playing basketball, golf, tennis, surfing, art, photography, playing guitar, traveling, meeting new people and building relationships. Deborah R. Idol moved to Myrtle Beach from Florida with her family in 1964 and has been a lifelong resident of the Grand Strand area. She graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 1975, attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and received her paralegal certification from the National Center for Paralegal Training in Atlanta, GA in 1978.
Debbie worked as a paralegal from 1978-2000 in the areas of civil litigation, probate, corporations and real estate abstraction, having worked for the Law Firm of Dalton B. Floyd, Jr. for the years 1981-1991. In 2000 she became the Family Life Center Director for The Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, SC. with a wide range of responsibilities including facility administration, daily operations as well as the development and oversight of family life programming for the church wide membership and community outreach.
In 2009 Debbie established Events on the Half Shell, a full-service event planning business specializing in weddings and special celebrations for both private and corporate clients. Events on the Half Shell continues to thrive serving clients both locally and for those seeking destination management of special events. She has been with Twin Oaks Enterprises, Inc. as bookkeeper/administrative assistant for the last 12 years.
